The scientists, technicians, and artists of Refractal Design Inc. occasionally make our expertise and production facilities available to traditional high-tech industries in the areas of ion beam physics, material sciences, and ion beam / high-vacuum systems design.
RDI also offers consulting, design and production services to corporations and individual designers interested in applying our high-tech tools to the creation of art. Our current technology allows us to deposit gold, platinum, and other precious metals on a variety of materials in designs with detail finer than the width of a human hair. For example, we recently completed a collaboration with an international corporate client on the design and production of a high-technology sculpture piece for use as an award to their top sales achievers.
